Northstar helps organisations deliver complex projects using scalable project controls, which provide insightful data to make the best-informed decisions. Project controls includes specialisations such as participatory planning, scheduling, cost estimation and control, risk management, change control and PMO design.

We take a humanistic approach to the work we do, which is reflected in our ability to scale project controls to be tangible across differently sized organisations, and in broader human-centred PMO design and implementation. Our methods include participatory approaches informed by the social sciences, Service Design, and Lean Six Sigma for problem solving and process optimisation.

As well as providing project controls services, Northstar is a training guild, helping to develop project control professionals in an environment severely lacking in these skills. Our goal is to reinvigorate and reinvent the discipline.

Northstar is in the process of adopting shared value policies and principles into its business model, with the goal of contributing to the development of solutions to some of society’s most pressing issues.
